Luca Palmieri

A personal blog focused on software and other entertaining fads.

Hi there! I'm Luca Palmieri, nice to meet you 👋

I am a mathematician who fell in love with software engineering. That's what I do for a living: I build and nurture high-performing organizations to deliver mission-critical technology products.
I built my muscles at TrueLayer. As their Principal Engineer, I drove their technology strategy and product execution while scaling the engineering org from a couple of teams to over 150 engineers.

At this point in time, I'm employed by Mainmatter as a Principal Engineering Consultant. If you are interested in working with me, feel free to get in touch.

While I believe in picking the right tool for the job, I have a soft spot for the Rust programming language. I'm an industry expert and I've been using it in production with great success since 2018.
I've digested my learnings in Zero To Production In Rust, the de facto reference book on how to build robust Rust backend services, as well as talks and workshops that I've given at conferences and meetups around the world.
My expertise led me to AWS, where I spent almost a year contributing to their internal Rust program, offering a smooth path to engineering teams that wanted to adopt and scale their Rust usage within AWS.

I'm easy to reach and I love to chat about technology, software engineering, and leadership.
If you want to get in touch, you can email me.
You can also find me on Twitter (@algo_luca), GitHub (@LukeMathWalker) or book a slot of my open office hours.

See you around!
